That wasn’t the end of their problems as during a boat ride, Tigerlily questioned the rules of Islam, bringing up Adnan’s nonacceptance of her male chiropractor. Adnan’s anger only continued to grow as he felt his wife did not understand that the husband had the final say in the Islamic religion.

90 Day Fiance’s Niles Faced Off With Matilda’s Family

Although Niles received approval from Matilda’s family to allow him to return, he was still anxious about when he would be back in Ghana.

During the episode, Niles visited Matilda’s family and was surprised to see the impoverished conditions her family lived in. “No human being should live like this,” he told the cameras.

Matilda showed Niles her day-to-day life by taking him to the market to sell plantains. During the outing, she confronted him about “hurtful” comments he made about her home, comparing the dwelling to a prison cell.

“If my mom was passing by, it could’ve hurt her and I don’t want that to happen,” she told him. “It’s because of your autism right?”

Niles reflected on the experience and how his disability has affected his love life. “I think Matilda is starting to understand that Autism affects me in a big way. Not the least of which is, me being forthcoming with the truth. Even when I know what I’m supposed to do, actually following through is difficult,” he told producers. “This is an example of how dating, having relationships, is not easy for me.”

Matilda also broke the news that Niles was financially responsible for their engagement ceremony. Niles was worried about footing the bill and discussed the matter with his family. In addition, he planned to meet up with a local community leader to discuss the tradition.
