Coleen Rooney has confessed there "might have been a few tears" on her last school run before jetting off down under to star in I'm a Celebrity.
The 38-year-old telly star and footballer's wife disclosed her excitement about landing in Australia as the final contestant and potentially ITV's most coveted signing for the reality show starting this weekend.
Seen sporting a casual look upon arrival in Oz, donning black leggings teamed with a sage green designer zip-up, Coleen revealed she last saw husband Wayne "yesterday morning" and recalled his parting words, "good luck".
Discussing the last school run with their four lads - Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, 8, and Cass, six - she noted it was seamless.
When queried on its emotional weight, she admitted: "It was for me not for the kids, I just done it as normal."
Pressed on whether tears were involved, she appeared moved and shared: "There might have been, but not from the kids!"
She was also quizzed about her cherished gold necklace inscribed with her sons' names, which she mentioned having worn for ages. "Had it for years and I have always wore it. If you look back at old pictures you will see it", she added, reports the Mirror.
On whether she's permitted to wear it in the jungle, she stated: "I am not sure yet."
Once dubbed "the nation's favourite girl next door," Coleen Rooney temporarily left the limelight in 2010 to focus on her family, only to be thrust back into the media spectacle in October 2019.
She made bombshell allegations that Rebekah Vardy's Instagram account was behind leaked stories to the press and was nicknamed "Wagatha Christie" after conducting a covert operation.
Meticulous about planning for her children while she's away, Coleen shared on social media last Monday: "Don't get me wrong. I am really anxious about leaving the kids.
"That's my biggest thing, and I it for weeks and months that's been on my mind, but I've come to terms with it. I've planned, I've prepped. I've got an army of people, family, friends, school friends all helping out with the kids, so they are going to be fine, and they are probably going to have a great time when I'm away."
She also revealed preparations for their return from school including letters and little cuddly toys set out on the table: "And then, these are to open when they come in from school a little teddy so that they know that I am constantly thinking of them."
Earlier this week, Coleen hinted that her husband Wayne might take on the jungle challenge in the future and expressed her own ambition to become the queen of the jungle following her Wagatha Christie court case triumph.
The 38-year-old television star and WAG remarked: "It has been year after year I have been asked to go on a programme and it's always been a straight no.
"Over the years, there have been different things going on in my life and also, my children have been really young. But they are at an age now where I can go away for this length of time. I also feel it's time to have a challenge for me and do something different. It has taken many, many years but I'm finally doing it. And I have always said if I was going to do one – then it would be this show. I think it will be good for me."
"Wayne is supportive," she added. "He did say, 'You know you are going to be on camera 24/7?' but I said 'Yeah that's the show!' He is fine with it all. If he had time, he'd have a go. I am not saying he would go in, but he wouldn't be completely put off.

"I haven't spoken about it with my younger two boys as not many know, but my eldest son told me: 'Yeah go for it.' My second one was a bit more emotional. He thought about me being away for a long length of time, but hopefully that will pass. My parents are happy too that I'm doing something for me."
She added: "The most rewarding thing for me is the fact I have actually agreed to do it. It's a massive thing as I am so close to the children, I do everything for them. I am a really organised person and so to take myself away from that is going to be difficult. But I've got a very supportive family around me and I know everything is going to be fine."
