Colin Farrell's cheeky three-word response as Jamie Lee Curtis calls him out for giving her COVID

Even celebrities aren't immune to the risk of COVID-19 superspreader events.

As Jamie Lee Curtis Colin Farrell SAG Awards, nobody could have predicted her introduction to the star. 

Presenting the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series award, the actress said, "And the Actor goes to ... the man who gave me COVID at the Golden Globes, Colin Farrell."

The Penguin star accepted the award graciously before confirming the accusation, confessing he was "guilty as charged." 

Farrell then hilariously passed the blame onto his The Banshee of Inisherin co-star Brendan Gleeson, who "f--king gave it to me, so I was just spreading the love."

During the actor's speech, he thanked his two sons, James, 21 and Henry, 15, "as "two people in my life who have made my life so much more special and so much more meaningful and so much more joyful than I ever truly thought possible."

Farrell then became emotional as he paid tribute to his Hollywood peers. 

"It's so weird," Farrell said.

"So many of you I grew up watching on television and film. So many I've worked with over the years and shared the spirit of collaborative curiosity and all the stuff that we fail at doing and we succeed at doing, and none of it is ever quantifiable. 

"That's the beautiful thing and the annoying thing about what we do.

Farrell concluded: "It's so much fun and – time is running out fast."
