Comedian Corey Holcomb is facing assault accusations after an alleged altercation with fellow comedian Cristina Payne.
According to TMZ, the incident happened outside the Hollywood Improv club earlier this month, stemming from a months-long feud between the comedians.
Witnesses claim the confrontation began when Holcomb approached Payne and her friend outside the club, reportedly yelling at them. Sources claimed that he allegedly threatened to punch Payne in the face, and when a bystander intervened, the 56-year-old allegedly swung over the bystander and hit Payne in the face.
Following the alleged punch, witnesses say a scuffle broke out, with multiple people, including Holcomb, tackling the man who had tried to break it up. Holcomb reportedly fled the scene, and police were called shortly after. A battery report was filed and no arrests were made.
Sources close to Payne allege the feud with Holcomb began in July when he reportedly made threatening comments about her, saying he would “super sock” her and warned others to “come get this bi**h before I f**k her up.”
When the two crossed paths at the Hollywood Improv, Holcomb is alleged to have reignited the tension, leading to the confrontation.
Payne’s team claims Holcomb is now attempting to use his podcast to deny the allegations. However, they assert that multiple witnesses are willing to testify against him should the case be taken to court.
