CORONATION Street star Luke Delaney has pulled off ‘soap hat-trick’ after landing a dark new Emmerdale role.
The actor - who played the character is called Dave Fairchild on Corrie - is now heading for the Dales, having also appeared in Hollyoaks.
Luke took to Instagram to tease he was filming again for ITV.
Posting a picture from a TV set, he wrote: £New trailer, new character, same objective.
"Let’s go to work."
Later Emmerdale confirmed he had joined the cast, and posted a picture of the actor on Instagram and captioned it with: "We are delighted to share the news that our brilliant Luke Delaney has been busy filming a major guest lead role on EMMERDALE which will hit our screens soon!"

Although his character is being kept a secret, The Sun can exclusively reveal that he will be part of the underground fighting ring that has been going on in the Dales.
Luke comes fresh from leaving Corrie, where his character Dave played a major part in Max Turner being radicalised into a far right extremist group.
At the time the actor said he was "delighted" to be joining the soap.
He previously played a police officer in the BBC's Peaky Blinders opposite Cillian Murphy.
Luke also has history of being a soap villain having kidnapped Maxine Minniver in Hollyoaks in 2021.
Other credits to the TV star's name include Netflix’s Stay Close, and C4’s Cucumber.

In his downtime, the fitness fanatic can be found in the gym.
Last year, the soap star launched a new health program online.
Posted at the time he said: "I've been working on this for so long now, and I'm excited to say we're nearly ready to go live!
"I'm not going to say much for now, as I'll be dropping more info over the coming week or so."
