Cruz Beckham, the son of David and Victoria Beckham, reportedly referred to Jesus Christ as a fellow "nepo baby" while promoting his music on Christmas Day. The young musician was responding to critics who accused him of leveraging his parents' wealth and fame.

He's not the only Beckham boy who has faced criticism though, with older brother Brooklyn flitting between jobs. Brooklyn is now apparently a wine buff after ditching football and photography.

But, over Christmas, Cruz allegedly retorted: "Jesus is also a nepo baby." This comment came as he shared a teaser for his new track, For Ya Love, on his social media platforms. While some praised his efforts, others criticised the 19-year-old.

MailOnline reports that one user commented: "Bet he had mega money and training," to which Cruz responded: "Not at all. Just a guitar."

It's reported that Cruz deleted his controversial comment about Jesus 12 hours later on Boxing Day, according to the Mirror.

Cruz isn't the only Beckham child to face such accusations. His older brother, Brooklyn Beckham, has also been the subject of online ridicule over his fluctuating career aspirations and lack of a steady full-time job.

The 25-year-old was dubbed "Nepo Spice" in January 2023 as he dipped his toes into another career path, chatting about his passion for fashion in a Vogue feature with his wife, Nicola Peltz. The lovebirds gave fans a glimpse into their closet, flaunting their fashion choices.

In the video shared by Vogue on TikTok, Brooklyn suggests scavenging for top-notch vintage denim in his tycoon father-in-law's wardrobe and shares that a snug shirt, knee-high boots, and a Matrix-style trench coat are his top picks for Bates Motel star Nicola. "I love high-waisted jeans," the aspiring chef remarked in the TikTok clip, pointing to his wife's waist.

"And I love like a nice tight shirt. I love the high boots - I think they're very sexy. Little Matrix jacket - love it!" Vogue captioned the footage: "You could say that @brooklynbeckham loves @nicolapeltzbeckham's style. Like, really loves it. As seen on the latest episode of #vogue7days7looks."

Comments quickly piled up under the video, teasing Brooklyn's varied professional pursuits. "Is this Brooklyn Beckham... the Brooklyn Beckham, chef, photographer, stylist extraordinaire," one sassy TikTok user teased.

"Dude is cosplaying a different career every other week," another commented, while a third jested: "He's doing a free trial of everything."

Spencer Pratt, the reality TV star known from The Hills and Celebrity Big Brother, threw some shade with a sarcastic quip: "Not just a chef and photographer he also celeb stylist."

Another critic chimed in with a dig at Brooklyn's indecisiveness: "Another career choice, make up your mind Nepo Spice," while a TikTok user cheekily suggested: "I hope the next episode will be Brooklyn cosplaying as plumber or surgeon!"

Brooklyn, despite his various career attempts, hasn't quite found his niche yet. The offspring of football legend David Beckham once had a go at following in his father's footsteps but got the boot from Arsenal's youth team in 2015 for not securing a scholarship to stay on at the academy.

He then strutted into modelling, popped up in a music video for The Vamps in 2015, and snagged an incredible gig working under the wing of ace fashion photographer Rankin. But whispers around the set hinted that Brooklyn wasn't quite up to snuff, and his stint at Parsons School of Design ended prematurely when he dropped out.

His foray into the world of photography with the 2017 book What I See was met with less than stellar reviews and disappointing sales figures.

However, Brooklyn has now turned his attention to the kitchen, and despite being a target for online jesters, the love-struck hubby has boldly claimed he "would literally die" for his passion. "I really enjoyed [photography] for a couple of years. I love taking pictures of my wife. I still have all my film cameras, but now it's just more of a fun thing to do. They were kind of all hobbies," he confessed in a chinwag with Variety in 2022.

Brooklyn bared his heart about his epicurean zeal: "I was still trying to find that one thing I would literally die for, and I found that with cooking," he said in his candid interview. And even with the barbs thrown his way, he's got nothing but good vibes for the naysayers: "I always wish them well, the haters," he remarked.

"I'm just doing what I love doing, staying healthy, being happy, and that's what it is. I hope they like my next video."
