A batch of new celebrities have taken to the ice for the tough annual challenge of Dancing on Ice – but judge Ashley Banjo said he won't hold back with his comments
Dancing on Ice judge Ashley Banjo is warning he’ll let rip at contestants who are lazy.
The hunk wants to see them putting in plenty of effort on the skating contest. He said: “Where I really won't hold back is if I think that people are playing safe or not putting in their all or not working hard. I think you have got to push to the limit on a show like this.”
Ashley is keen to see the celebs pushing themselves. He added: “Just be fearless. I think at one point you have to admit that it's going to be hard. It's going to hurt.
“You're going to be tired and you will probably fall… even if it's not on TV, it may be in training.
“Get all of that stuff out of the way, get used to it, and just give it 100%!”
Ashley, who has been on the panel since 2018, insists he won’t be tough for the sake of it. The star doesn’t want to be Mr Nasty like the show’s former judge Jason Gardiner.
He said: “What I won't do is down talk someone who I think is doing everything they can.
“I think that there's no point telling someone everything they should fix if you really think they're giving their all.”
Dancing On Ice returned to our screens with a fresh batch of celebs, including soap opera stars, Olympic heroes, and reality TV darlings, all strapping on their skates.
