A lot of stars from your favourite TV show have found love on and off the dance floor over the years - here, we take a look at all of the couples, past and present, connected to the show
Dancing With The Stars has been entertaining audiences in Ireland since its first season in 2017.
Since then, numerous Irish celebrities have taken to the dancefloor, with seven stars lifting the coveted glitterball trophy.
But over the years, some contestants have found love on the show, while some of the professional dancers have enjoyed relationships, marriages and have become parents, too.

While some couples are still going strong, there have also been some heartbreaking splits.

Jake Carter and Karen Byrne
Probably the most high-profile relationship from the show, Jake and Karen found love shortly after winning the second season back in 2018. They have been going from strength to strength ever since, between running their own stage school and Marbella dance retreats as well as hosting a podcast with Jake's brother Nathan.

Despite dancing with different people on the show, Ryan and Thalia started dating after meeting on season one. The pair called it quits in 2023, and Ryan is now expecting his first child with fiancée Sylwia Matuszewska.

Kai and Giulia were love's young dream while part of the cast of pros on Dancing With The Stars, but split in 2020. After joining Strictly Come Dancing in 2021, Kai began dating Nadiya Bychkova, but they split over the summer.

Matthew MacNabb and Laura Nolan
Rumours swirled Matthew and Laura were an item when they were paired together in 2022, and they confirmed suspicion with a kiss on live TV following their semi-final elimination. The couple are now engaged and split their time between Ireland and Los Angeles.

Professional dancers Stephen and Kylee got married back in 2017. They now live in Northern Ireland and welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Lando, back in October.

Montel and Jillian are a couple on and off the dance floor. They stepped back from season eight of the show to focus on their competitive careers in Spain.

Vitali Kozmin and Valera Milova
Dancing With The Stars OGs Vitali and Valeria appeared on the first three seasons of the show. They are parents to three children - Konstantin, Kai and Kira.
7 of 12Curtis Pritchard and Emily Barker
Before finding fame on Love Island, Curtis was a pro on Dancing With The Stars and dated fellow dancer Emily. The partners dated for three years between 2015 and 2018 before deciding they would be better off as friends. Curtis went on to date Maura Higgins and is now back in the Love Island villa hoping for another shot at romance.

Johnny and Emily grew close during their time spent together on season three back in 2019. They briefly dated but their romance only lasted a few months. Johnny is now married to wife Brenda while Emily recently moved to Ireland with boyfriend Olly.

Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian
Brian and Arthur's romance predates Dancing With The Stars, but they both have a connection to the show. Brian competed on season four in 2020 while Arthur replaced Julian Benson as a judge in 2022. They have been married since 2015 and are parents to daughters Blake and Blu.

Strictly Come Dancing fans will recognise Darren and Lilia from the early seasons of the BBC show. These days, the husband and wife work on Dancing With The Stars - Darren is Creative Director while Lilia is a choreographer.

Current Dancing With The Stars pro is loved up with girlfriend Michelle, who works on Strictly. The couple are often spotted supporting each other on the respective dance competitions.
