The term child actor has become almost synonymous with financial ruin and early mental burnout, but perhaps one of Britain's most visible young actors of the 21st century has managed to avoid this curse - and even increased their wealth by a staggering £20 million after shooting to stardom.
Known around the world as Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe found himself enormously rich at a young age after playing the boy wizard on the big screen in the massively successful film series. But 14 years later, his fortune has almost reached a whopping nine figures.
Radcliffe is reported to have received a life-changing £75 million for his leading role in the eight Harry Potter films, wrapping up the final instalment in 2011. Now, after some wise investments and good returns from his private company, his personal wealth is somewhere north of £100 million.

Warner Bros. Pictures.)According to the latest Companies House filings, his investments brought the prolific stage and screen actor a whopping £6.6 million in the last financial year alone.
The 35-year-old's company, Gilmore Jacobs Ltd, states that it has investments and cash totalling £96.3 million - not including Daniel Radcliffe's earnings from his major acting gigs post-Potter like The Woman in Black.
An Insider told the Sun: "Even Daniel’s devoted fans, of which there are many, will be shocked by the fortunes he’s racked up since he left the franchise behind and started a new chapter. But it seems his wealth isn’t just based on how much he’s been paid for his acting, it’s also down to shrewd investments along the way which means he has a steady income, whatever happens.”
Radcliffe, who became a father in 2023 after an 11-year relationship with actress Erin Darke, has seen success off-screen recently, winning last year's Tony Award for his performance in the Broadway musical Merrily We Roll Along.
Radcliffe is not the only Harry Potter star to make a small fortune. Dame Maggie Smith reportedly left behind a huge sum following hear death aged 89, after she reportedly amassed a net worth of $40 million (£31.4m) by 2024, according to Equity Atlas.
