AnnaLynne McCord and Danny Cipriani have called their romance quits

When former rugby player Danny Cipriani, 37, first went public with his actress girlfriend AnnaLynne McCord, 37, he called her his "miracle" but after just nine months the couple have called it quits.

AnnaLynne, who shot to fame on the TV series 90210 in her role as Naomi Clark, and Danny have even unfollowed each other on Instagram after ending their "turbulent" romance. The pair are said to have spent time in different countries since the break-up, with Danny's "very difficult divorce" being cited as one of the reasons for their split.

"Danny and AnnaLynne have decided to part ways," a source said. "They have known each other for years after meeting at on celebrity dating app Raya but being in an official relationship hasn't worked out for them."

They continued to tell the Mail Online that Dannny had spent most of his time in the US during the relationship, but now was back at home across the Atlantic which was the biggest sign they were over for good.

They added: "Their romance was very turbulent, Danny is going through a very difficult divorce and wasn't able to give AnnaLynne everything she needed. Being in another serious relationship wasn't something he wanted so soon after his separation from Victoria."

Danny split up from his wife Victoria, 42, in November 2023 - after the pair had been married for four years, and the rugby player and TV host's high-profile relationship with AnnaLynne amid the rocky divorce was said to leave his ex-wife "heartbroken" and "humiliated".

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Victoria said about her ex-husband's new relationship: "He left, I was heartbroken. Then he got together with AnnaLynne. I felt humiliated by him but now I want to move on with my life." Victoria also claimed that she had called it quits on their marriage after going through Danny's phone and finding "inappropriate" messages to other women.

"I was shocked, heartbroken. They weren't sexts but they were telling women they were beautiful, and about the connections he felt. Not the kind of thing you want to read your husband sending," Victoria explained.

The Mail reports that Danny unfollowed AnnaLynne before Christmas, on 21 December, indicating that there was some serious trouble in paradise, and then stayed in the UK over the festive period and New Year's, instead of travelling to the US to spend time with the actress. The outlet also reported, "a source close to the exes revealed to MailOnline their relationship was on the rocks for weeks."

When AnnaLynne and Danny first went public he shared a series of snaps of their travels together on Instagram, including a trip to Egypt where they took part in a tour organised by the company Sacred Awakenings of ancient historical sites. Danny captioned the post "My miracle...Loving you is the easiest thing in the world" and in another post dedicated to his now-ex-girlfriend, said, "I love you beyond words".
