Dave Portnoy has entered the chat.
The founder of Barstools Sports gave his two cents on Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia‘s breakup with Zach Bryan — and per usual, he did not hold back.
During a recent appearance on “The Unnamed Show,” the CEO spoke about two negative experiences he had with his “BFFs” cohost’s ex-boyfriend that raised some red flags (Dave noted that he got the “green light” to publicly share these stories).
The first instance apparently took place in Las Vegas this past February, when he and fellow “BFFs” podcast host Josh Richards were set to meet Brianna at Zach’s concert — except, that never ended up happening.

“She’s like, ‘Zach has banned you from going to the concert,’” Dave recalled during the episode posted on Thursday, October 24. “Apparently, Zach went back — how many months was it — it had to be, maybe, six months. We at one time on ‘BFFs’ had a discussion where Bri just got a new boyfriend.”
During an August 2023 episode of “BFFs,” Dave called Brianna a “revolving door” of relationships when discussing her dating history — which is the comment that apparently Zach saw and led to the ban.
“Bri was like, ‘It’s the first biggest fight we’ve been in,’” he said, noting that “this is what we do” on the “BFFs” podcast. “We joke and what are you mad about?”
The second “sensitive” situation between the now-exes came after she did a red carpet interview.
“Bri goes to, like, the Golden Globes and Zach’s not there. I think Bri, I’m paraphrasing, was interviewed on the red carpet,” Dave explained, recalling that Brianna named some “famous awesome looking celebrity” that she was excited to meet at the event.
“She was like, ‘He’s good looking,’ or like, ‘Yeah, he looks nice.’ [Zach] unfollowed Bri on social, blocked ‘BFFs.’” recalled, calling Zach an “insecure baby.”
“He just seemed like a really immature, not confident baby,” he continued.
ICYMI, Zach confirmed their breakup on his Instagram Stories on Oct. 22, over a year after the two first sparked dating rumors in June 2023. Following his announcement, Brianna released her own statement and a YouTube video, saying she felt “blindsided” by his post.
“I’m probably not gonna post this for a little while, but I just woke up to Zach posting on his Instagram that we broke up and I had no idea that post was going up,” she said in the video, while sitting on her bathroom floor. “He didn’t text me, he didn’t call me.”
The podcast host also confirmed that they had broken up the day before, and she wasn’t ready “to do anything publicly.”
“I wanted to just handle this as a human first and now, it’s not that,” she admitted. “So I’m just asking if you guys can please respect — Jesus, I look crazy — my privacy right now, and when I’m ready to talk about everything that happened, I will.”
