More information has come out in the tragic case of late models Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, and it’s just so disturbing…
As we’ve been following for several years now, the late models, 24 and 26 years old, respectively, met Hollywood producer David Pearce and his friend Michael Ansbach at an LA party in November 2021. The two men enticed the models to come back to David’s apartment with them. Ultimately, the women wound up dead and dumped outside of two different LA-area hospitals by a mysterious car. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office, they became unresponsive after being pumped with drugs. But instead of rushing them to the hospital, or better yet calling an ambulance, the driver “took his time to remove his license plate from his car.”
So awful. This man clearly didn’t want his plate to be linked to the women…

Months later in December, David, Michael, and a third friend named Brandt Osborn, identified as David’s roommate, were all arrested in connection with the deaths. David was hit with murder charges in July 2022, and Brandt was charged with being an accessory — as he allegedly helped dispose of the models’ bodies. And we now know all of this information because of Michael, who also claims to also be a victim of David.
In a court appearance on Wednesday, prosecutor Catherine Ann Mariano explained how David allegedly lured the women back to his apartment and gave them fentanyl-laced cocaine. Fentanyl… deadly stuff. And that’s what prosecutors believe ended their lives. Instead of showing concern, he actually demonstrated quite the opposite, Mariano told the jury:
“He didn’t care if they lived or died at all. In fact, defendant Pearce wanted them to die.”
Whoa…
The prosecutor pointed to the multiple sexual assault charges David was also faced with for assaulting several other women between 2010 and 2020.
Michael also addressed the court while recalling the night Christy and Hilda died. He claimed his *friend* David pressured them all into taking drugs and consuming a cocktail which made him feel dizzy. He claimed it made him violently ill and ultimately he and the women all fell unconscious. But while he had the fortune of waking up, the women did not. He claimed he begged David to call 911, but that the suspect did no such thing, allegedly telling him:
“Dead girls don’t talk.”
Wow. Michael then left, and that’s when authorities believe David and his roommate Brandt wrangled the women into the vehicle and dumped them on the curbs outside of two different hospitals. Mariano told the court:
“They just get in the car and take off.”
So evil.
According to her, David was aware the cocaine was laced, but the producer himself claimed he didn’t know the women were in serious danger until they were too far gone. He claimed he helped them into a guest bedroom after they fell unconscious. Then — after they’d been that way for 12 whole hours! — he thought to administer CPR and eventually drive them to the hospitals. He noted it was faster than calling an ambulance. Sure. Gotta make up for those 12 hours of doing nothing at all, right?
Mariano, however, didn’t buy it. She argued:
“The defendant is a guy that gets off in power and control. Exerting power and control over vulnerable women.”
What a truly horrific situation that continues to become more disturbing with every update. Our hearts continue to be with the victims’ loved ones.
