More news: Deion Sanders Makes Intentions Clear Where He Wants Shedeur To Be Drafted
Deion has been tied to the Raiders before, as everyone believes that Las Vegas would be one of the teams angling to draft Shedeur Sanders. However, the Raiders pick No. 6 overall, and would presumably have to trade up to land the younger Sanders.
Most current mock drafts have Shedeur landing somewhere in the top three picks, which makes sense considering there are a ton of quarterback-needy teams. However, if Deion is truly interested in coaching the Raiders, he might attempt to speak with the new general manager and front office to trade up for Shedeur.
This is just wild speculation, as is the rumor that Deion is angling to come to the NFL. Many rumors of his leaving Colorado have been swirling for months, leading to the head coach outright denying his want to leave the collegiate level.
Though Deion stated that he would not leave college, he also revealed that he would consider an NFL position if he could "coach my sons."
"You know what?" Sanders said on the show "GMA3: What You Need to Know."
"The only way I would consider is to coach my sons."
Deion would presumably have more than one shot to coach his sons. If it were true that he would land the Raiders head coach position, he might not be able to coach Shedeur, but there is also Shilo Sanders.
