She may have made her return to the Golden Globes after nearly a decade with her striking look, but it was Zendaya’s diamond ring that has been the talking point of this year’s ceremony. The Challengersactress 'sparked' speculation that she is engaged to British actor Tom Holland after fans spotted the sparkler on her left-hand ring finger. ‘Is that an engagement ring?’ one fan said, with another commenting, ‘The ring.’

Zendaya, who was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a motion picture Musical or Comedy, walked the red carpet in a custom burnt orange satin dress by Louis Vuitton and matching heels with a stunning Bulgari diamond and Paraiba tourmaline choker, but it was the five-carat cushion-cut diamond set on a thin gold band which stole the spotlight. Zendaya has been dating her Spider-Man co-star Tom Holland, also 28, since 2021 although they were romantically linked from 2017, after meeting on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming the year before. However, the stars – who have appeared in three Spidey films and are set to be in Christopher Nolan’s new film – prefer to keep their relationship low-key.

Tom recently explained why they don’t walk red carpets together. They were last seen at the LA premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021. ‘Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us,’ he said. While they prefer to keep their relationship to themselves, Zendaya recently opened up about working with Tom, saying that ‘it’s actually strangely comfortable’. ‘It’s like second nature, if anything. You feel extra safe with the person you’re acting beside,’ she revealed. ‘I love working with him. He’s so talented, and so passionate about what he does. He always gives things one thousand percent, even if he’s absolutely worn down. I really appreciate that about him. It feels pretty normal. That’s how we met. Literally, at a chemistry read.’

Tom - who said he's 'happy and in love' - has also spoken about their screen collaborations, calling them ‘perfect’. ‘Studios love it. One hotel room. Separate drivers. We’re not crazy now. Listen it’s work, alright? It’s a saving grace. Yeah, best thing that’s ever happened to me,’ he said. ‘It’s just that perfect thing when you’re on set and a director will give you a note that maybe you don’t agree with, or I know that she doesn’t particularly like, and it’s just that, like, familiar glance at each other of like, can’t wait to talk about that later.’ It's not the first time they have sparked engagement rumours, but could it be true this time?
