It's an age-old question - Is Die Hard a Christmas movie?
Ever since the Bruce Willis film was released in 1988, the iconic movie has been a mainstay on many families' festive playlist. The action thriller follows Willis' character, New York City policeman John McClane and viewers watch on as he visits his estranged wife (Bonnie Bedelia) and their two kids on Christmas Eve.
However, as McClane bids to join her work Christmas party, the celebrations are abruptly interrupted by a group of terrorists who take over the exclusive high-rise building and everyone in it. It's the left to McClane as the only person who can save the day.
While the storyline doesn't exactly sound like a festive classic, the date in which it is set that has led to a big debate rumbling on. And one person who is better than most to settle the question is actor Robert Davi. The veteran star plays FBI agent Big Johnson in the flick and let his feelings be known to the Mirror.
He previously told us: "Well, of course it's a Christmas movie. They re-released it in the States and it did terrific at the box office. It's playing right now in all the theatres because it's a Christmas movie."

Robert admitted his thoughts have changed over the years, initially thinking it wasn't a festive flick. He added: "Well, when I first was doing it, I didn't think it was a Christmas movie in 1988 or whatever it was. I didn't necessarily say 'Oh, this is a Christmas movie.' But it absolutely has been.
"And you can even say Bruce Willis is this figure running around with his feet bleeding, you know what I mean? You know, it's set during Christmas. It's set during the holiday season. So it has that vibe. It's become a Christmas film; many people's favourite Christmas film."
Aside from Die Hard, Robert has played a number of roles in huge movies, such as The Goonies and James Bond's Licence to Kill. He is also a seasoned singer and his powerful voice has brought him success in the jazz charts thanks his Davi Sings Sinatra Album.
In 2011, he released Mistletoe and Holly in a bid to help The Salvation Army provide emergency assistance to the millions of families in need. Discussing how the connection came about, he continued: "Well, I did an album called Davi sings Sinatra that went to number six on Billboard jazz, and then after that, I met some people from the Salvation Army and I wanted to do a song that could help raise money, so I went into the studio did that and then gave it to them."
Other recent projects Robert has been involved in include Bardejov. He took on the role of Rafuel Lowy in the dramatic Second World War film and he calls it a 'tremendously authentic' production based on a true story. He is also currently playing a role on upcoming crypto series titled Paper Empire alongside huge names such as Kelsey Grammer and Denise Richards.
