DJ Fat Tony has been left with horrific facial injuries after being attacked, with fans and celebrity pals including Davina McCall flocking to show support.
The 57-year-old LGBTQ+ activist shared a message with fans, apologising for cancelling his upcoming gig while he recovers. The DJ, real name Tony Marnach, revealed he was knocked out cold, and had to be taken to the local Emergency Department, where he remained all through Friday night.
The DJ shared his account of what happened, letting Instagram followers know his upcoming Christmas gig was set to be rescheduled while he recovers. Tony was inundated with messages of support from fans and celebrity pals alike, telling them later that the police are involved.
Davina McCall said she'd be in touch with the star to check in on him, writing: "F***. Tony this is terrible ... Love you so much x call you tomorrow." Singer Ellie Goulding commented: "Will find him and punch him back for you," while RuPaul's Drag Race star The Vivienne added: "OMG hope you're OK."

It resulted in me being knocked out and taken to hospital and being in A&E all night. Obviously you can see the damage to my face and the swelling - it's not good. I wanted to let you know I can't be at my gigs today as I have been advised to stay at home and get well.
"I'm absolutely gutted, I'm gutted this happened, I'm gutted that people choose violence especially when what we do comes from a place of love. I'm really sorry that I won't be seeing you tonight but we will reschedule everything. Big love guys - I'm just gutted really gutted."
He captioned the post: "LOVE ALWAYS WINS X I am devastated to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances I have no choice but to cancel tonight’s event at @number90bar @no90_events. I’m under doctors orders I need to rest and get better. I will be ok and I’m on the mend - but for now I need to take the doctors’ advice.
"I know some of you have had this night out in your diaries for a long time and this is last minute - I really am so sorry. I will make it up to you all in the new year. Happy Christmas everyone, take care of yourselves. We will be rescheduling tonight’s event to January 25th. I can’t wait to see you all there and party together."
Tony is being looked after by his fiancé Stavros Agapiou, who he got engaged to last year after proposing to him in Central Park by a water fountain. In an update on Sunday morning, he thanked his fans for their support, and Stavros for taking care of him.
He said: "Thank you for the thousands of messages of love and support I'm ok just in a lot of pain and and swollen but at home with @stavrosagapiou and the dogs being looked after I can't thank you all enough for the outpouring of support remember you can't keep a good man down x.'
In the clip, he told fans: "Just doing a quick face update, as you can see the swelling is coming down, I'm okay though. I wanted to say a huge thank you for all the messages I have received - I'm overwhelmed."
