Amanda Holden has shared her sadness over Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford's divorce, after it was reported that the latter plans to throw a party when the split is finalised
Amanda Holden has shared her heartache over the split of her former This Morning pals Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, as the former reportedly gears up to celebrate their divorce with a bang.
The telly duo's breakup after 14 years together left fans gobsmacked in May, and now, as they navigate through the divorce, Ruth is said to be eyeing "life after divorce" with some excitement.
A source claimed to Heat Magazine that Ruth, 64, can't wait to be "a free woman" and "she is going to throw a party".
Her best pals have suggested that she is "on the up, while she's left Eamonn spitting feathers in her wake," and is planning a massive shindig to mark the occasion, leaving Eamonn, who's apparently not too chuffed, trailing behind.
On Heart Radio, Amanda lamented in response to the reports: "I love both of them, I love Ruth, I love Eamonn, I can't believe this has happened. It's like so sad for everyone I think."
Her co-host Ashley Roberts added, "It's like mum and dad has broken up to everybody."
Amanda also bigged up Ruth's party-throwing skills, hinting it'll be one heck of a do if she does decide to put on a celebration.
Since the split hit headlines, Ruth has been flying solo while Eamonn, 65, has found new love with Katie Alexander, 42. There were whispers that the pair wanted to wrap up their divorce pronto for a clean slate in the new year, but experts warn rushing could lead to trouble in paradise, reports Belfast Live.
Chloé Moreau from ExpertsEnRencontres has chimed in on the quickie divorce, warning not to ignore the emotional rollercoaster it brings. "Divorce is not just a legal transition - it's an emotional one, and rushing through the process may leave unresolved feelings or create additional stress."
Chloé also threw in a word of caution for Eamonn and Ruth, saying they need to make sure their split deal is fair and square for both sides. Plus, she's advising the pair to keep it classy with "mutual respect" to dodge any future issues.
