Donald Trump Booed During Steelers Game, Video Appears to Show

A video that appears to show Donald Trump being booed and heckled at Sunday's Pittsburgh Steelers game has gone viral on social media.

A seven-second clip shows a member of the crowd looking at the box from which the Republican presidential nominee viewed the game. Boos are audible, and one person can be heard saying, "Get him outta town." MeidasTouch, a media network that frequently criticizes Trump, posted the clip on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday. By Monday morning, it had been viewed more than 292,000 times.

With the presidential election two weeks away, Trump and his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, are campaigning to secure Pennsylvania's 19 electoral votes. In 2020, Allegheny County, which contains Pittsburgh, elected Joe Biden with 59 percent of the vote to Trump's 39 percent.

Newsweek has contacted Trump's campaign for comment via email.

On Sunday, Margo Martin, the Trump campaign's deputy communications director, posted a video on X captioned, "President @realDonaldTrump arrives at Acrisure Stadium to chants of U-S-A!"

The video shows Trump standing in a corporate box at the stadium pumping his fist at the crowd as it chants, "U-S-A." A few supporters in the row of seats in front of the box can be seen recording him on their phones. Two supporters pump their fists back, and one woman raises her middle fingers to the former president. Martin's video had been viewed more than 607,700 times by Monday morning.

MeidasTouch disputed the authenticity of Martin's post, saying the chants were to honor a Navy SEAL.

"Steelers honor a Navy SEAL during the game. Chants of 'USA' ERUPT!" the network wrote in the caption of a separate video.

"MAGA is trying to claim these 'USA' chants were for Trump. That's just more stolen valor from MAGA. We are hearing the Steelers did not show Trump even once on the Jumbotron," the caption continued.

Charlie Kirk, an influencer in the Make America Great Again movement, posted another clip of the "U-S-A" chants in the stadium. He wrote in the caption, "Actual footage of the Steelers game tonight NBC won't show you."

The video shows some fans in the rows of seats directly in front of Trump's box facing the former president during the chant. However, many more fans are facing the field.

Kirk's video had been viewed more than 2.9 million times by Monday morning.

Ahead of the game, Trump posted an image on Truth Social that appeared to be AI-generated. It showed the former president with an athletic, muscular build wearing a Steelers uniform.

After the game, which the Steelers won 37-15 against the New York Jets, Trump thanked the fans.

"Thank you to the Steelers fans for the great reception tonight," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "November 5th will be the most important day in the history of our Country! MAGA2024!!!"
