President-elect Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, revealed her celebrity crush during a new YouTube Q&A.
The 17-year-old shared a video Tuesday so fans could get to know her better after being thrust into the limelight when her famous grandfather, 78, was elected for his second term as president of the United States.
During the Q&A, one follower asked her, “Celebrity crush?”
The young golf player had to fetch her phone to verify her crush’s name before asking herself, “Why do I need my phone? His name is Drew Starkey, and he is on ‘Outer Banks.'”
She then confirmed again, “All right, my celebrity crush is Drew Starkey from ‘Outer Banks.’ I love him, so yeah, that’s my celebrity crush.”
While speaking about the 31-year-old actor, a flushed Kai said, “Oh, my God, I’m blushing now!”
Starkey, who plays Rafe Cameron in the Netflix show, is rumored to be dating actress Odessa A’zion, 24.
During the Q&A, Kai also talked about her grandfather, sharing that golfing with him and following him during his 2024 campaign were some of her favorite memories.
“I feel like it was really crucial for everyone around the world and to be there with him and be older and understand how important it was for him to win was really special,” she explained.
Earlier in the video, the high school senior recalled some of the lessons Donald has taught her.
“He’s taught me to never give up, and if I have a dream, always try to achieve that dream and never stop trying because one day, it will happen. And he’s president of the United States again, so never give up on your dreams!” she said with a smile.

The eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump also gave insight into what she is planning to major in at the University of Miami when she attends in 2026.
“I will major in business. I think that’s perfect for me,” she commented, following in her family’s footsteps. “I wanted to be a doctor for the longest time, but I saw blood one day, and I just realized that I can’t do it.”
Kai detailed having a weak stomach and not being able to handle needles.
“So I will do business and see where golf takes me,” she said.
In August, the teen announced via social media that she was “beyond excited” to give “verbal commitment to the University of Miami” and play for the school’s golf team.
She also thanked her grandfather for giving her “access to great courses and tremendous support” and shared her gratitude for dad Don Jr., 46, and mom Vanessa, 47, who finalized their divorce in 2019, for “always supporting” her athletic journey.
“I would also like to thank my entire family for always encouraging and pushing me to be the best person I can possibly be. I would like to thank my friends for always cheering me on,” Kai continued.
“Last but not least I would love to thank Coach Janice and Coach Jim for giving me this opportunity. I am super excited to be a cane and represent the University of Miami. Gooo Canes!”
Kai wore a green Miami cap in the photos with her parents, as well as a white tank, denim shorts and a Louis Vuitton belt.
She is the former couple’s eldest child, with Don Jr. and Vanessa also sharing Donald III, 15, Tristan, 13, Spencer, 12, and Chloe, 10.
Page Six revealed earlier this month that Donald Jr. had ended his engagement to Kimberly Guilfoyle and is now dating Bettina Anderson.
