Donald Trump’s signing of dozens of executive orders on his first day back in office drew multiple digs from “The Daily Show” host Ronny Chieng on Tuesday.
The president put his signature to “so many” actions “they had to scroll through the tracks like it was an ad for ‘Now That’s What I Call MAGA,’” Chieng zinged.
Trump “just kept signing” and was “so in the zone, he didn’t even know what he was signing,” the comedian continued.
At one point, Trump responded to being told he was instructing the withdrawal of the United States from the World Health Organization with, “Ooh!”
Trump is “withdrawing from the World Health Organization like he’s hearing the dessert options,” said Chieng. “Ooh, yeah, yeah, I’ll have the tiramisu and potential measles outbreak with that.”
“If you could put anything in front of him yesterday, he would have signed it. Melania, now’s your chance to update the prenup. Go, go, go, go,” he added, before sarcastically swiping: “But I’m not going to be shitting on President Trump, OK? Sure, he pulled out of the W.H.O. Who are those guys? What are the odds there’s ever going to be a pandemic requiring global cooperation?”
