Heather Peace has made her mark on Albert Square since joining EastEnders as Eve Unwin.
While it might be her best known role, she has a long history of acting in soaps, with Emmerdale being one of her first TV appearances.
We all know a lot of her fictional character’s love life, however, you might not know that Heather has been happily married for over a decade.

Childhood
Heather was born on 16 June 1975, making her 49 years old. She is originally from Bradford in West Yorkshire, England.
Music was a big part of her childhood. She began playing piano when she was six years old, and guitar since her teens.
Her family was very involved in the Catholic Church growing up. Her mother was a long-serving cantor at their local church and also did readings. Heather went on to become a cantor as well, and the church is where she adopted her love of music and singing.
The actress and her mother went on to leave the Catholic Church due to its positions on LGBT relationships.
Back in 2012, the Daily Record reported that she said: “The problem comes with the Catholic Church saying, ‘We’re going to be forced to marry gay people in our church.’ That’s embarrassing.
“I was brought up a Catholic, and in all honesty, on the happiest day of my life, if you really think I would set foot in any building that would rather I wasn’t there, then you’re having a laugh.
“Why would I want to sit with a priest when I don’t even believe any of that?”
Heather knew she wanted to be an actress from an early age and credited her parents for encouraging her.
Career
Heather studied acting at Manchester Metropolitan University and graduated with a bachelors degree.
She first appeared in Emmerdale, playing the character Anne Cullen for seven episodes between January and June 1997.
The actress later appeared in The Bill, Dangerfield and in the series London's Burning from 1998 until 2002.
Over the years, she has acted in many popular TV shows, including Coronation Street, Heartbeat, Casualty and Holby City.
In 2021, it was announced that Heather was joining EastEnders as Eve Unwin, the wife of Stacey Slater, played by Lacey Turner.
Marriage
Heather is married to her wife Ellie Dickinson. The couple have been together for many years and entered a civil partnership in 2013, before converting it to marriage during the following year.
They have three daughters together. Their eldest, Annie Mary, was born in April 2015, and their twins, Jessie and Lola, arrived in June 2017.
Heather and Ellie prefer to keep their relationship away from the limelight, with the soap star rarely sharing pictures of her family.
However, she penned a tribute to her wife back in 2013 as they marked 10 years of marriage.
She posted a black and white candid snap of them together, where they could be seen laughing.
Heather wrote: “How has it been 10 years today since we married. Happy anniversary to my dear Ellie.”
She added: “And to all of my girls; Ellie, Annie, Jessie & Lola, you have brought both joy and calm to my life and I love you all with all of my heart.”
The family live in a beautiful home in Brighton.
