The Emily in Paris actress Lilly Collins and filmmaker Charlie McDowell shared the news on social media on Friday, January 31, that they have become parents.
The couple welcomed a baby via surrogate, PEOPLE reported.
"Welcome to the center of our world, Tove Jane McDowell", Collins, 35, wrote in a joint Instagram announcement shared with her 41-year-old husband.
The new mom also shared a photo of the baby, snuggled up in a bassinet. Above the crib, Tove Jane was covered with a monogrammed blanket with her name written in gold
"Words will never express our infinite gratitude to our incredible surrogate and to all who helped us along the way. We love you to the moon and back," Collins' post continued.
The couple married in September 2021.
"I never wanted to be someone's someone more than yours, and now I can be your wife," she captioned a photo of the couple kissing at the altar. "On September 4, 2021 we officially became each other's forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell."
"I married the most generous, considerate and beautiful person I've ever met. I love you @lilyjcollins," McDowell wrote on Instagram.
"I'm so excited to be your wife," Collins commented on her husband's post.
The love story of Collins and McDowell
Collins is the daughter of one of the greatest drummers in rock history, Phil Collins, while McDowell is the son of actress Mary Steenburgen and actor Malcolm McDowell.
The pair first began dating in 2019, and in August of that year they made it official, when the actress shared some snaps of the two in France while filming Netflix'sEmily in Paris.
Collins announced her engagement in September 2020 on her Instagram account.
"I've been waiting my whole life for you and I can't wait to spend our life together," she captioned the post, along with two photos of the proposal.
Collins' ring, a bezel-set rose-cut diamond with a thin gold band, is one of a kind, according to a representative for Irene Neuwirth, who created the piece.
