Ethan Slater Shockingly Wins Over Ariana Grande Fans At Wicked Premiere As They Go IG Official! See How!

Ethan Slater just did something that totally shocked Ariana Grande fans — and it actually earned him some brownie points!

On Sunday, the cast of Wicked was in Sydney for the Australian premiere of the upcoming musical adaptation. While walking the red carpet, Ethan stopped to chat with fans, sign autographs, and take selfies. In a video posted to X (Twitter) by a fan named Melissa, Ethan could be seen signing a book for her as she asked:

“Is it possible for you to give this to Ari for me?”

She held up a pink friendship bracelet she had made inspired by Ari’s character Glinda in the film.

Ethan had the sweetest response, saying:

“I’m pretty sure she’s coming if you want [to give it to her], but I can do that! Do you want me to? Sure! Yeah, of course. I’m sure she’ll love it.”

The clip quickly went viral, and it actually started to change some fans’ minds about the Broadway star! They commented:

“Omg Ari, I see it now … and if I speak-”

“What a sweethearttt”

“So gentle, so kind, so pure, so handsome.”

“So glad yall see it now omggg.”

“wait I kinda love him for ari omg”

“he’s so sweet help”

“HE’S SO F**KING SWEET MY HEART IS MELTING”

Such a simple gesture on his part, but it has gone a LONG way!

As Perezcious readers know, Ariana and Ethan were linked in July 2023 right after she called things off with her husband Dalton Gomez. At the time, the SpongeBob SquarePants star was still married to his wife — with a newborn baby, too. So naturally cheating rumors quickly spread. Ethan and Ari have each slammed the theories numerous times while getting slightly more public with their relationship, but the negative commentary has continued. Until maybe now? Seems like this trip was a big turning point, and not just for the fans!

The couple also went Instagram official recently! While they’ve appeared in group pics together, including on Ariana’s page and on friends’ feeds, this has got to be the most romantic photo she’s posted of Ethan so far — and it clearly hints at their romance! After the premiere, the singer uploaded several pics from the evening, including a snapshot of the actor holding her dress as he walked behind her, and she even tagged him. She captioned it.

“Sydney, you have stolen our hearts…”
