Spoiler Warning: This article contains spoilers for Outlander Season 7, Episode 13, “Hello, Goodbye.”
Jamie and Claire Fraser’s family and friends are going through it. Last week on Outlander, Jamie (Sam Heughan) came back from the dead, took Lord John hostage, gave him a one-eyed makeover for sleeping with Claire. Then Claire (Caitríona Balfe) had to explain to Jamie (and her sober self) what happened, and it was all stressful. Do we like it when our Outlander parents fight?! Kind of, yes. And back in the future, Brianna (Sophie Skelton) was dealing with her missing son, Rob Cameron showing up to her house. But she dealt with him, with a swift frying pan to the head. Ah, good Outlander trauma drama. Oh, and let’s not forget Lord John saying too much! Too soon! And screaming, “I’ve had carnal knowledge of your wife,” to Jamie. But we respect John’s commitment to the truth. Roger and Buck are still stuck in the wrong time, leaving Brianna alone with Rob Cameron. This week, on Outlander, Brianna seems to be the one whose situation is getting more difficult. Watch the exclusive sneak peek to find out who should be helping her, but actually is making her son’s kidnapping even worse.
If you love sexism with a side of law enforcement, then you will love this scene. But if you’re like Brianna, and appreciate when women are respected, you will rage watching this scene. Historically, Brianna has shown she is Claire and Jamie Fraser’s daughter. Back in season 7, part 1, during a job interview, when she was applying for the Big Boss position, the man interviewing her asked her to get him coffee and told her she was more suited to be a secretary. Well, that didn’t go over well with Big Bree and let’s just say, she got the job, the big boss job. Now, one of the difficult men she had to manage was Rob Cameron, who turned out is not so good! But he showed that from the very beginning, and still Brianna and Roger had him over for dinner. Historically, they tend to invite a lot of enemies in. Hi, Tom Christie. Sure, we loved him by the end, but he brought terror to Jamie and Claire’s lives.
Watch the video and to see how Brianna deals with two police officers who accuse her of cheating on her husband. As if! Be sure to check out The Outlander Issue, with interviews with Balfe, Heughan, Skelton, John Bell and Richard Rankin. Don’t miss the exclusive photo shoot here. The new episode of Outlander, “Hello, Goodbye” airs Friday, December 20 at midnight on Starz.
