Kim Kardashian is the queen of the early aughts.
On Monday, the reality star quietly revealed a close-up snap of her belly button ring, adding it to a slideshow of Instagram images captioned, “life lately.”
If you carefully swipe through the photos, you’ll spot the bling, a glitzy diamond, in true Kardashian fashion.
Dressing down in gray sweatpants, Kardashian has her hand on her stomach, showing off her early 2000s-era piercing.
Fans had mixed reactions, with one commenting, “Not the belly piercing 😂 Kimmy taking it back to 2005!”
Another said, “the belly piercing 😭😭😭 ok baddie 🔥.”
Though it’s been a minute since Kardashian has publicly rocked the Y2K-approved jewelry trend, this piercing isn’t new.

In fact, the beauty mogul had her belly button pierced before the 2007 premiere of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
In one infamous 2006 outing shopping with her BFF Paris Hilton, she put her midriff bling on full display in a cutout halter top.
In 2017, the Skims founder revealed she had six piercings total, including her belly button, one in her right ear, and four on her left ear. Of course, that number may have increased over the years.
Recently, Kardashian has ditched her navel ring in favor of luxe belly chains — another trend from the ’90s and early ’00s.
Meanwhile, the piercing could have been part of a sister date; Kylie Jenner posted an Instagram video showing Khloé Kardashian adding a second hole in her ear, praising the Good American founder and revealing that she was “terrified.”
Also in the Instagram carousel, Kardashian shared images of her and Kanye West’s four young children, North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5, all wearing matching pajamas plastered with mom Kris Jenner’s face.
She also had an eventful day on Tuesday, when the Skims x Dolce & Gabbana collaboration dropped — and broke the underwear brand’s website due to high demand.
Kim got sister Kourtney involved in the promo for the leopard-printed collection, seeming to squash their years-long beef over the Italian fashion brand.
