Ferne McCann is ‘filling her Dancing on Ice void’ as she takes up a new sport.

Ferne left her fans devastated when she made an early exit from the hit ITV contest Dancing On Ice. The 34-year-old ex- TOWIE star skated out of the show in only the second week after performing in costume as a character from the movie Trolls – but lost out on the public vote, despite receiving an impressive score of 28 from the judges.

Taking to her Instagram stories - the mum of two posted two tennis rackets with the caption: “Filling my ice skating void with a new sport. I need to get better to start keeping up with Sunday.”

After Ferne’s exit, the former The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) star said: "So gutted, but it is what it is. It's been amazing. Thank you so so much. It's just been brilliant. So fantastic."

Movie Week saw McCann perform a Trolls-themed skate on Sunday to September by Earth, Wind And Fire, which features in the animated movie. However, she and skating partner Brendyn Hatfield went home.

Although Ferne is feeling “gutted” to be eliminated at such an early stage of the competition, the plans for her forthcoming wedding to fiancé Lorri Haines, 33, are now in full swing, we can reveal. The reality star got engaged to the businessman in July 2022 in Dubai, before welcoming their baby daughter Finty a year later. And now a source claims that after prioritising her children, lifestyle brand Shoorah and then taking part in Dancing On Ice, Ferne has finally got the capacity to get plotting in 2025.

“Now she’s out of DOI early, she’s got the time to plan her dream wedding to Lorri,” a source said. “Her plans can now really ramp up, after being put on the backburner while she was in the competition.” The development comes after Ferne, who is also mum to seven-year-old daughter Sunday from a previous relationship, opened up last month about getting hitched, after shutting down rumours she and Lorri had secretly split.

Talking to OK! she said, “I did have wedding fever over the summer, we went to some amazing weddings. I even started a Pinterest board! But it’s about priorities and this year’s a big year. Planning a wedding is a mammoth task and, if I’m honest, I’m not sure I can take the added stress at the moment. Maybe 2026, we’ll see!”
