The BBC has unveiled a first glimpse of the 2024 Death in Paradise Christmas special. The official Instagram account shared a festive photo featuring the characters in holiday spirit.
The image shows Ram John Holder, portraying Nelson Myers, in a floral shirt next to his co-star dressed in a Santa suit, with his arm in a sling while holding a parcel.
The caption read: "Got all your Christmas shopping done? Just one week to go until we kick off Christmas week with the #DeathInParadise Christmas special!"
Fans took to the comments, to voice their opinions on the BBC drama. One fan was absolutely gutted to be waiting another week for the show to air, as they wrote: "I need it right now."
Whilst another wrote: "Looking forward to watching it" and one other said: "can't wait".
The Christmas special follows DI Marvin Wilson, played by Don Gilet, as he faces his first Saint Marie Mystery as three Santas are all shot with the same gun at the same time.
The special will also star, Don Warrington as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, Shantol Jackson as DS Naomi Thomas, Ginny Holder as Officer Darlene Curtis, Danny John-Jules as Officer Dwayne Myers, and Élizabeth Bourgine as Catherine Bordey plus Ram John Holder as Nelson Myers.
Joining the line-up is comedian Marcus Brigstocke, who is playing the role of tourist Stuart Fullwell.
Speaking to Jacqui Joseph and Gordon Smart on BBC Morning Live, the actor said: "Obviously I was thrilled because I know that Death in Paradise have been looking for the new detective.

"So when the call came I instantly called Rachel my wife and said I'm pretty sure we are going to be moving to Guadalupe for six months out of the year."
He continued: "It was quickly made clear to me that I was going to be killed off but I was still over the moon. It's a beautiful, brilliant, funny and engaging show. It's so fun to do."
