The Oscar nominees have finally been revealed, and among the surprises and snubs are a slew of first-time Oscar nominees, including Demi Moore, Zoe Saldaña, and the history-making Karla Sofía Gascón. The nominations were announced by Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang on January 23 from LA.

Timothée Chalamet, Demi Moore, Monica Barbaro, Formal Wear, Head, Person, Face, Adult, and Accessories

As they say, the first time is the sweetest, and judging by the first-time nominees' reactions, we'd say that's no less true when it comes an Oscar nomination. Some of the nominees, like Monica Barbaro and Mikey Madison, are relative newcomers to the industry, while others, like 72-year-old Isabella Rossellini, are actors with decades of experience. However, the flood of heartwarming videos and emotional statements prove that no matter your age or experience, recognition from your peers will always hit you right in the feels.

Keep scrolling to see the heartwarming reactions from some of the first-time nominees.

Monica Barbaro, Best Supporting Actress (A Complete Unknown)

Monica Barbaro fell right to the floor when she heard her name among the nominees for best supporting actress. The 34-year-old, who starred as Joan Baez alongside Timothée Chalamet's Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, shared a photo of herself, head in hands, along with a photo of the email director James Mangold had sent her confirming she had landed the role of Joan.

“What?!!!! This is me… literally floored upon receiving the news of this nomination—same as I was when Jim cast me in this film in the first place,” she wrote in her caption. “Getting to be a part of this project has been the honor of a lifetime because of how much respect I have for Joan Baez and all the artists we portray in A Complete Unknown, as well as the artists I’ve gotten to collaborate with in the making of this film. I’m immensely proud of everyone involved in this movie, completely humbled to see my name amongst the actresses in this category who I hold in such high regard, and am deeply grateful to the Academy for this recognition of everyone’s brilliant work.”

Yura Borisov, Best Supporting Actor (Anora)

Yura Borisov's nomination was the first to be announced, and it's probably safe to say that he didn't hear much of the rest of the broadcast, due to the (relatable) screaming and hugging going on in his car, where he and his family listened to the announcements. In conjunction with the production studio Neon, the Anora film's social media account shared Borisov's video reaction, including his daughters' adorable cheers from the backseat.
