Former RHOC Star Braunwyn Windham-Burke Accused of Abusing Autistic Child by Ex-Husband

Divorce can get ugly, especially when there are children involved. Real Housewives of Orange County alum Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s own is no exception. Now, her ex-husband has some big claims.

Even though their divorce was finalized over a year ago, Braunwyn and her ex-husband, Sean Burke, are still fighting over their seven children.

In addition to feuding over visitation and child support, Sean is now accusing his ex of abusing their autistic son.

Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s ex-husband accuses her of dragging Curren from under the bed

DailyMail.com obtained court documents showing that Braunwyn and Sean, who now live in Nashville, are still navigating their messy divorce. Among other issues is the question of Braunwyn’s treatment of their young son Curren.

Sean reported that on August 14, he contacted the Franklin Police Department to document a change of custody. When the police arrived, they “documented rug burns” on Curren. The police determined the burns were caused by the child “being dragged by Mother from under the bed,” claimed Sean.

The injury was then reported to the Department of Child Services for further investigation.

“After multiple interviews with the children, the allegations against Braunwyn were declared as unfounded,” Bronwyn’s rep reported. “The health and safety of her children have always been and will continue to be her first priority.”

The former couple share seven children: Bella, 24; Rowan, 22; Jacob, 19; twins Caden and Curren, 11; Koa, 10; and Hazel, six. Curren currently lives with his father, as he attends a school suited to his special needs. Curren was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and his dad’s house provides the “routine, stability, and patience” he needs.

Following the investigation and interviews with the four minor children, Braunwyn “was required to take a parenting class for dealing with children with behavioral issues.”

Curren is “on the Autism Spectrum, but is high functioning.” While he was still living with his mom, Curren hid “under his bed at Mother’s home and would not come out.” The LGBTQ+ advocate was finally “able to to coax [the child] out from underneath the bed and took him to his adult sister’s home.” That’s when her ex called the police.

Claims that Sean is harrassing her

For her part, Braunwyn, who is now married to Jennifer Spinner, believes that Sean’s call to the police was harassment. She has previously admitted that “divorce is harder than getting sober.”

But Sean says Curren told him a different version of the incident. He believes that Curren having “burn marks on both of his arms” is evidence of his having been “pulled forcibly from under the bed.”

In addition, two of Braunwyn’s adult children, Rowan and Jacob, released statements earlier this year. They called their mom an “abuser, liar and manipulator.” They support their dad, who they said is “the kindest most amazing person.”

Another hearing is set for sometime after New Year when a judge will go over their parenting plan. Hopefully, many of their issues can be resolved at that time.
