Former Pittsburgh Steelers and Pro Bowl tight end Eric Ebron has announced his retirement from the NFL. The veteran offensive star played his last snap with the Steelers in 2021.

Ebron took to Instagram to announce his official retirement, stating he is excited to move on to new ventures, and also joking that he no longer has to work out for any NFL teams moving forward.

"Man, I just want to officially announce that you can't look for me no more. You can't ask me to work out for no team. I'm done with the National Football League, man. I'm officially retiring and I can't wait to step into this new world and let people understand how big and how smart my brain actually is, in this game of football, or just at life in general," Ebron's post states.

A second post also had a simple caption, "A Career Is A Career!! Im Proud Of Me! Thankful for everyone along this journey 🫡. #Retired."
