As many of you may already know, Fortnite’s next major update will introduce a full Japanese makeover to the island. Based on previous leaks, the new map will be divided into five distinct areas: Shrine, Rivers, Plains, Farmlands, and Forest. This article covers every new POI revealed in the Fortnite Chapter 6 map update leaks.
Every New POI Leaked in Fortnite Chapter 6 Map Update
Fortnite has done Japanese themes before, but this time Epic is focusing on traditional charm instead of cyberpunk-neon-filled streets. The map blends old and new Japan perfectly, with everything from ancient temples to trendy sushi spots.
Reliable Fortnite leaker FNAssist has shared new information about Chapter 6’s locations through their X account, giving players their first look at the upcoming Japanese-themed map. The leak reveals several major new points of interest that will transform how you play the game:
Demon Arena
This new fighting spot lets you battle NPCs for special loot. It’s marked by a striking Oni (demon) face and could be your go-to place for getting powerful items early in matches.
Tanuki Twinkle Town
A new traditional Japanese village named Tanuki Twinkle Town might become a popular landing spot. Look for the cute raccoon-themed buildings and possible Easter eggs throughout the area.
A Purple Forest
This purple-tinted forest hides powerful secrets. From the looks of it, it might be home to glowing flora and mythical creatures, including small white spirits that may offer unique bonuses. The forest’s magical properties create unpredictable gameplay scenarios.
Turtle Forest
This POI is built on an ancient turtle deity and leakers confirmed that it can slowly move around the map, but we’ll see! If this actually happens, it can definitely change combat scenarios and give players new tactical opportunities as it moves.
Durrr Sushi Plaza
This lively spot blends modern and traditional Japan, turning the classic Durrr Burger into a stylish sushi restaurant. Some fans have compared this spot to MEGA City POI from Chapter 4 Season 2, and if that’s the case, it’s definitely a welcome return! Hopefully, this time, players will have the chance to explore inside the towering skyscrapers instead of just looking at them from the outside.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass Highlights
The Fortnite Chapter 6 map introduces exciting new POIs inspired by Japanese culture and the Battle Pass packs in plenty of themed rewards to match. Players can look forward to incredible character skins, like a redesigned Hope as a masked hunter, a skilled shinobi warrior, a masked swordsman, and even Godzilla, confirmed through recent teasers.
Plus, Baymax makes a surprise appearance, adding some variety to the lineup. To top it off, the victory umbrella this season, called the Shogun ‘Brella, features a stunning shinobi design that perfectly complements the Japanese aesthetic. You’ll be able to experience all this when Chapter 6 launches on December 1st, 2024. The combination of traditional Japanese elements with Fortnite’s signature style promises to create one of the most unique seasons yet.
