Although we are less than three weeks into 2025, the entertainment industry has bid farewell to several stars who have sadly died.

The New Year has been met with tragedy as several stars have died in 2025.

The entertainment industry is mourning the loss of talents across film, television, music, who have left behind legacies which will continue to inspire fans.

News broke on January 15 that Linda Nolan had died following a lengthy battle with cancer. Hours later, it was announced that Hollyoaks actress and Only Fools and Horses star Dianne Langton had passed away at the age of 77.

Here, Express Online looks at the stars who have lost their lives in 2025.

Linda Nolan

Linda Nolan died at the age 65 on January 15. The singer was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 before the disease was discovered in her hip in 2017.

The cancer spread to her liver in 2020 and spread to her brain three years later. 

Linda died surrounded by her siblings, with her last hours said to have been full of "love and comfort".

Diane Langton

Former Hollyoaks and Only Fools And Horses star Diane Langton died aged 77, her agent revealed. 

The actress, whose career in TV and film spanned more than six decades, died shortly after returning to the Channel 4 soap as Nana McQueen.

A cause of is yet to be confirmed. 

Diane landed the role of Bev Williams in BBC's EastEnders in 1998 before joining the cast of Hollyoaks in 2007.

Tony Slattery

BBC comedian Tony Slattery died from a heart attack aged 65.

Mark Hutchinson, Tony's partner of more than 30 years, said: "It is with great sadness we must announce actor and comedian Tony Slattery, aged 65, has passed away today, Tuesday morning, following a heart attack on Sunday evening."

Tony suffered a number of health battles throughout his life, including addiction to alcohol and drugs. The Whose Line Is It Anyway? was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Dalyce Curry

The remains of 95-year-old Dalyce Curry were discovered at her home in Altadena, Calif. The retired actress died after her property was burned down by the wildfires in Los Angeles. 

Dalyce was known for appearing in The Blues Brothers (1980), The 10 Commandments (1956) and Lady Sings the Blues (1972).

Her granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, wrote in a statement: "We are devastated, and it’s difficult to comprehend how her life came to this end...

"She radiated positivity, showed grace, and lived as a shining example of strength, resilience, and kindness. Her story is one of breaking barriers, overcoming challenges, and spreading love wherever she went."

Leon Haywood

Sky's Got To Dance star Leon Haywood died aged 45.

A cause of death is yet to be confirmed for the professional dancer. 

Trinity Warriors Dance Academy announced the devastating news on January 8, paying tribute to one of its founding members.

Part of their statement said: "Leon was such an incredible person and he was an inspiration to every single one of us, from students to parents, to supporters and the dance community as a whole, he inspired so many of us and was everyone's biggest support.
