Gabrielle Union is slamming critics who accused her of having plastic surgery to achieve her signature snatched look.
When speaking with PEOPLE at a recent event in Los Angeles, she revealed her secret behind her chiseled face. “A high pony for a lady of a certain age is like a facelift,” the 52-year-old explained to the outlet.
The Being Mary Jane star continued, “As much as what happens or doesn’t happen with my face is speculated, if you can’t be missing for six months to get a facelift — which I’ve never been missing for six months, get it right — the high pony is going to snatch you here.”
Union went into detail about where how a good ponytail will affect your face, depending on its placement. If you have a high pony, it’ll “snatch” the top of your face, but a low pony will lift the lower had of your face and neck.
The veteran actress joked, “A high snatched pony is all you need — [and it] don’t cost you a thing.” She also praised the ponytail as one of those classic looks she was glad never went out of style.
Union’s sentiment comes as fans wonder who’s the new surgeon transforming many celebrities’ faces.
On X, one person shared recent photos of Donatella Versace, Christina Aguilera, and Lindsay Lohan questioning how they achieved their new, youthful looks. Another felt it was achieved through editing and filler.
Meanwhile, Union has no problem baring it all. On her 52nd birthday, she posed in her birthday suit, writing, “This is 52. This is grown woman s**t.”
