New York Giants star wide receiver Malik Nabers is unable to practice today due to a groin injury, NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports. This could spell trouble for the team going into Week 12, where they are scheduled to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday.

Nabers was sidelined from the media-access portion of Friday's practice due to a groin issue, adding to concerns over his health. This marks a familiar scenario for Nabers, as he also dealt with a groin injury in Week 7 while recovering from a concussion. After clearing the concussion protocol, the injury appeared mid-week on the Giants' practice report.
Despite the setback, Nabers played 93% of the snaps in a 28-3 loss to the Eagles, finishing with four receptions on eight targets for 41 yards. Over the next three games, he continued to see a heavy workload, with at least 10 targets and six receptions in each contest, though he failed to find the end zone and surpassed 71 yards just once.
Looking ahead, Nabers faces additional uncertainty with the Giants making a change at quarterback, as Tommy DeVito replaces the recently released Daniel Jones. While the quarterback shift adds an extra layer of unpredictability, the immediate concern for fantasy managers is Nabers' groin injury.
His substantial target volume makes him a must-start when healthy, even if his production has been inconsistent. The official injury report released Friday afternoon or evening should provide more insight into whether Nabers is at risk of missing Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.

Nabers was selected by the New York Giants with the sixth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and, in his professional debut, Nabers recorded five receptions for 66 yards in a 28–6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He caught his first career touchdown pass in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders. The following week, in a 21–15 victory over the Cleveland Browns, Nabers posted 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
His performance made history, as he became the first player ever to record at least 20 receptions and three touchdown catches in his first three games. At 21 years and 56 days old, he also became the youngest wide receiver in NFL history to have two touchdown receptions in a single game, surpassing Mike Evans' previous record.
