Just a few weeks after Gisele Bündchen unveiled her third pregnancy, first with her boyfriend, Jiu-Jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, she shared a new Instagram post that addressed her life situation and current mindset. Throughout it all, she encouraged others to maintain the same positivity that she keeps every day.
"There's no guide to life, no perfect roadmap to follow," Bündchen, 44, captioned a slideshow of herself sitting peacefully on a dock and reading a book. "But remember everything you are, is a choice! To feel good, to be healthy, and to cultivate a positive mindset are daily choices that only you can commit to."
"Each day presents the opportunity to choose habits that nourish your body, uplift your spirit, and guide you toward the life you truly want to live," she added.
The supermodel had previously been married to the former New England Patriots player Tom Brady from 2009 to 2022 — when they officially announced their separation. She then was spotted with Valente, 37, in November 2022, when they went on a vacation with Bündchen's two children that she co-parents with Brady: son Benjamin Rein, 14, and daughter Vivian Lake, 11. Valente, along with his brothers, had been coaching the family on jiu-jitsu.
"They're awesome people," she shared with Vanity Fair about Valente's training, but denying any dating rumors at the time. "They have created this safe space." She also denied that Brady's decision to return to football contributed to the demise of their marriage.
Bündchen and Valente's new relationship was officially confirmed in July 2023, and things have been going smoothly since then. Bündchen and Valente's child is expected sometime between January and March 2025, according to TMZ's reporting that she was five or six months into her pregnancy at the time of the announcement.
