Gisele Bündchen & Tom Brady Were Reportedly “Open” To Having Another Baby

Time to stare into the sunset and play Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” because we’ve got new intel into the breakup between Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady.

As you may recall, the Brazilian model divorced the Hall of Fame footballer in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage. The couple cited that they had “grown apart”, though it was speculated the athlete’s decision to come out of retirement had compounded her decision to file.

Now, two years after they called it quits, the Florida-based fashion icon has happily moved on and is currently expecting a child with her jiu-jitsu instructor boyfriend, Joaquim Valente.

Though Brady’s social media interactions—see: posting a longing Instagram story with lyrics from the aforementioned song—seem to signal that he’s still processing the news of her pregnancy, a source has revealed that he and Bündchen were in discussions to expand their family before they broke up.

“Gisele and Tom were open to having another child during their marriage,” an insider with knowledge told Page Six. They added that conceiving wasn’t “something they were actively trying to do,” however.

Brady and Bündchen share two children, a 14-year-old son, Benjamin, and an 11-year-old daughter Vivian. The Super Bowl champion and supermodel also co-parented Brady’s 17-year-old son, Jack, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend and Sex And The City star, Bridget Moynahan.

Though Bündchen didn’t address any hopes of falling pregnant again when she announced her separation, she did state that her priority “has always been and will continue to be our children, whom I love with all my heart”.

“We have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always,” she wrote at the time.

The 44-year-old began dating Valente in July of 2023, though they had been reportedly romantically linked since November 2022. The pair connected through his Miami-based martial arts gym, where Bündchen and her children trained. Since taking their relationship public, Bündchen and the Brazilian instructor were pictured riding horses in Costa Rica, frequenting the beach and practising the self-defence sport.

“Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family,” a source told People. According to TMZ, Bündchen is already six months along and is due to give birth in early 2025. We wonder if Stevie Nicks is on her hospital playlist…
