FOLK music fans are getting excited as rumours swirl that US superstar Noah Kahan is set to play the Glastonbury festival this year.
The Grammy-nominated musician has already been unveiled as one of the headline acts at Hyde Park BST next year, which falls the week after the Somerset festival.
Now music lovers are convinced that the 27-year-old’s presence in the UK deems him likely to pop up as one of the headline acts at Glastonbury in 2025.
Writing on social media site Reddit, one person said: “If he’s playing BST the weekend after Glastonbury that makes it likely he’ll play the festival while he’s in the country.”
Meanwhile another commented on his his pulling power at the ticket office:“Noah kahan selling out a full uk arena tour definitely makes him a headliner material but definitely from tours and glasto lineup it’s been a weak touring year.”
Given that he’s been confirmed to appear at Hyde Park on July 4th, the week after Glastonbury, onlookers believe that he may follow the mould of US R&B star SZA who played both events, although her Sunday set down in Somerset was not well received.
Despite being the most streamed artist in the world, her performance on the Pyramid stage was said to have drawn the smallest audience for a headline act in more than 20 years.
Other rumoured acts for next summer include, Ed Sheeran, US pop Princess Olivia Roderigo and US rapper Eminem.
Meanwhile Noah who is known for hits including Stick Season, All my Love and Come Over, will perform as part of an impressive line up including actor and singer Hugh Jackman, country star Zach Ryan and singer Jeff Lyne.
Indeed Noah, 27 will be joined onstage by singer Gracie Abrams, 25, who is currently dating in demand actor, Paul Mescal.
But it will be difficult to beat last years line up which featured a star studded roster of pop singers including, SZA, Kings of Leon, Morgan Wallen, Andrea Bocelli, Robbie Williams, Shania Twain, Stevie Nicks, Kylie Minogue, and Stray Kids.
Tickets for the 2025 shows will be go on sale November 8 at 10am on the official website.
