GloRilla has fans talking yet again, but this time it’s about her choice to be “single and celibate.”
The Memphis rap queen took to X to share that she is abstaining from any sexual activity until the right man steps up.
“Single & celibate until God send me my husband,” she wrote via X on Sunday (Nov. 10).
For those who are fans of Big Glo, this isn’t a new thing. She’s been vocal about her celibacy goals in the past. At the start of the year, Glo challenged herself to go without any action for a full 90 days—which she explained to Complex’s Speedy Morman.
However, she left fans puzzled when she posted herself sporting a baby bump late last month.
Considering the “How I Look” rapper also told Charlamagne Tha God last month that she only wants kids through surrogacy, the whole act had people raising a brow. However, it was clearly a joke and she popped out later with a flat tummy.
Now, social media users have mixed feelings about her recent celibacy post, questioning if she’s using the term correctly.
One user commented, “Women will post this while still getting head on the regular,” while another wrote, “You not celibate; stop using the word wrong.” On the other hand, some fans support her self-love journey. One person typed, “Single, celibate, and trusting God’s timing. When it’s meant to be, it’ll be.” Another added, “Same. It’s the best way to be. Sooo many diseases out here.”
According to Merriam-Webster, celibate means “abstaining from marriage and sex especially because of a religious vow,” but for Glo, it’s simply about holding out for “Mr. Right.”
