A Gogglebox star, who still shares a home with his ex-husband, has disclosed the "problem in the end" that led to their separation.

On an episode of Best Magazine's Suddenly Single podcast, Daniel Lustig spoke candidly about his recent break up from fellow Gogglebox star Stephen Webb after six years of wedded bliss.

Hairdresser Daniel revealed that the former duo, who had been together for 11 years in total, are currently attempting to sell their flat, but they "cohabit really well together".

He also shed light on why they decided to part ways, despite hitting it off "so well" when they first started dating and later becoming business partners and "dog dads".

Daniel said: "He was complete opposite to me, and we always went, 'Ooh, opposites attract', but fundamentally, that was our problem in the end, that we were so different."

Earlier in the podcast, he shared details about their life post-split: "We are still living together. We're trying to sell our apartment, so we haven't done that. So we cohabit really well together."

Daniel explained that the former couple were currently trying to sell their apartment

He added: "It (the split) was quite a slow process. For a while, we were still sleeping in the same bed. You know, after we had said we were going to split up, and then when Stephen was on the dating show (Celebs Go Dating), I think we kind of agreed that we would go in separate rooms.," reports the Liverpool Echo.

Daniel has opened up about their unique living and working arrangement, including being business partners and "dog dads". He shared: "Fundamentally, I've always said about our relationship; it's always been about friendship. As soon as we met, we became really good friends."

He continued, "As soon as we started dating, I was like, 'Oh, this guy is so different to me', and we just got on so well. We respected each other, although that we came from complete different backgrounds'."

Daniel also spoke about how they manage their dynamic now, with Stephen taking an interest in his life, sometimes to the point of being a "nosey parker".

He revealed that Stephen might inquire about his plans or give unsolicited advice on what to wear, prompting Daniel to remind him that he doesn't "need to know".
