The Secure AI Framework (SAIF), a framework that offers best practices for implementing AI models, was introduced by Google. The questionnaire-based technique improves AI model safety by producing a checklist with useful information. Before obtaining the checklist, developers and businesses must respond to a number of questions. Additionally, Google established the Coalition for Secure AI (CoSAI), which addresses issues like assessment, tuning, and training. The SAIF tool is intended to assist businesses in creating more secure large language models (LLMs).
According to the blog post, the SAIF Risk Assessment is a questionnaire-based tool that can be used right now on its new website, SAIF.Google. It will provide practitioners with a customised checklist that will help them safeguard their AI systems.

For practitioners in charge of safeguarding AI systems, the SAIF Risk Assessment is a tool that converts the SAIF framework into a practical checklist. It contains questions concerning the security posture of the submitter’s AI system, including training, evaluation, tuning, access restrictions, thwarting assaults, secure designs for generative AI, and agents driven by generative AI. The tool may be found on the SAIF.Google website.

Based on the answers given, the program generates a report that highlights certain dangers to AI systems, including Data Poisoning, Prompt Injection, and Model Source Tampering. Additionally, it describes the technological dangers and the safeguards against them. To find out more about how security risks are introduced, exploited, and addressed during the AI development process, visitors may explore an interactive SAIF Risk Map.
Three technical workstreams have been launched by the Coalition for Secure AI (CoSAI): AI Risk Governance, Preparing Defenders for a Changing Cybersecurity Landscape, and Software Supply Chain Security for AI Systems. Based on these domains, working groups will develop AI security solutions. By supporting a more secure AI ecosystem, the SAIF Risk Assessment Report supports CoSAI’s AI Risk Governance workstream.
