For Windows users, Google released the Quick Share update, which fixes a number of bugs users have been experiencing. If the file name contains non-ASCII characters, the update fixes a bug that causes the program to fail. The Quick Share shortcut icon, Wi-Fi LAN advertising, Wi-Fi Hotspot, system setup settings, and program crashes are also covered. The update also fixes a problem with reading app settings and Bluetooth connection problems. The update hasn’t added any new features.
Quick Share version 1.0.2002.2 has been rolled out by Google for Windows users, fixing 12 errors such as Bluetooth connectivity problems, crashes when reading input files, and unsuccessful Wi-Fi hotspot recovery during file transfers. Earlier this month, the app’s 1.0.1939.4 version was made available, and this upgrade improves upon that.

A number of feature enhancements and optimisations are included in the Windows device update. It fixes problems with reading and saving preferences, crashes brought on by non-ASCII characters in file names, and file deletion from unknown senders. The update also fixes a flaw that prevents Wi-Fi LAN advertising, errors while reading input files, numerous GATT reads during discovery, and the Quick Share shortcut icon showing up in the Start menu after installation. It also fixes problems with Wi-Fi hotspot profile deletion, Bluetooth connection, and recovery when the program is closed while transferring files.
