Iconic American actress, Gwyneth Paltrow has opened up about her personal life, on social media, as she revealed she is having 'waves of grief and sadness' after her children have left home.
She confessed that she was not feeling her usual self following the recent change to her family set-up as she answered fans questions on her Instagram story.
One of her avid fans simply asked her 'How's life as a free bird?'
While she was unable to hide her feelings of sadness at the recent development, she said that she could see the upside to having less people at home: "It is very different, I have waves of kind of grief and sadness and also I am kind of getting back in touch with this part of myself that I haven't felt like since I was in my early twenties, before I had kids."

Claiming that another perk of her children's recent move to college is having more 'space' she added:"(I have) a little more space and imagination maybe, a little more inner space for like what I might want to do that day and stuff like that, so it's evolving, it's interesting."
Gwyneth recently saw her two children Apple Martin, 20 and Moses Martin, 18, leave for college along with her with her ex-husband and Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, whom she shares them with. Talking about the idea of her children leaving for college back in July, she said:"I think my kids both really know themselves very well and that's a trait about them that I both love and admire" she said in an Instagram story.
The 52-year-old first met Chris in October 2002 before they tied the knot a year later while they were expecting their first child together. But, 12 years later, the pair decided to file for divorce and call an end to their marriage, sharing their two children ever since.
During a glittering career in acting, the LA born actress has picked up a whole host of awards including an Academy Award, Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award for her work.
