Gwyneth Paltrow is back in the fashion spotlight, this time as the face of Saint Laurent.
At 52, the Goop founder and Academy Award-winning actress proves her enduring star power, lending herself to the Spring 2025 campaign, dreamt up by the Maison’s creative director, Anthony Vaccarello.
Unveiled this week, the campaign marks Paltrow’s return to high-fashion modelling after more than a decade, joining names like Hailey Bieber and Diana Ross as faces of the brand. Though she’s been in attendance at a few Saint Laurent events, including the House’s Spring/Summer 2025 show in Paris this September, the news came as a surprising delight for fans.
Famed photographer David Sims was tapped to capture the actress’ refined elegance, which paired seamlessly with Vaccarello’s signature blend of androgyny and glamour.
Set against ornate gold-encrusted moulding, Paltrow channels menswear-inspired sophistication in two standout looks from the collection.
In the first, she dons an impeccable piece of tailoring in a sleek black double-breasted blazer with sharp lapels paired with tuxedo trousers featuring satin side stripes. Her bright blonde locks are slicked back, and her makeup focuses on the eyes with a subtle smokey look.
The second look leans into edgier territory, with Paltrow swapping tailoring for a quintessential Saint Laurent leather look.
A button-up jacket belted at the waist is styled with the same satin-trimmed trousers and angular M103 sunglasses in a cat-eye silhouette for a dose of understated drama. True to the brand’s sensual minimalism, Paltrow went sans jewellery.
This latest move marks Paltrow’s first major partnership with a luxury designer since fronting Coach in 2011 and Tod’s in 2008. While she’s kept busy with Goop’s in-house clothing label and collaborations, her return to the high-fashion fold reacquaints us with an eternal muse.
