Living in a household with Australian cattle dogs means getting the chance to win games doesn't come too often, but when it does, the whole family is left stunned.
In a recent TikTok video posted by @zayda.zoey.zillo, a couple of pet parents were playing with their three dogs—Zayda, Zoey and Zillo. However, it was more of a game of fetch between the owners and Zayda and Zillo, the two Australian cattle dogs, as this breed is known to be faster than Labradors.
Engaged and wanting to participate, Zoey, the Labrador and shepherd mix, stayed in the room. She knew the ball wouldn't ever come her way as her doggy siblings were too quick, but she still enjoyed being a spectator. Plus, Zoey would be their backup if they ever needed her.
But "all stars aligned" on that fateful day for Zoey as she stood in the right spot at the right time. Her owner kicked the ball right in front of Zayda and Zillo. Their snoots ricocheted the ball off the wall and back to the owner who hit it away. The two dogs immediately turned around after it, but the ball appeared to have disappeared.
Then Zoey looked up at her owner filming with a sense of pride and revealed she was holding the ball in her mouth. You could see the shadow of her tail wagging back-and-forth. For once, she won the game.
"Her little wiggles when she's proud. Sound on to hear our surprise," the video's caption reads.
It took everyone, including the dogs, a moment to realize where the ball had gone. Her doggy siblings had no idea and ran past her hopeful they would still be the first ones to retrieve the ball. But once it clicked for her owners, they screamed her name with joy. Like Zoey, they were surprised to see she caught the ball.
