A man caught his dog and wife in a heated argument, sharing the vocal interaction online, which quickly garnered millions of views.
The TikToker, who uses the social media tag @turbdupaddiction00, shared the amusing altercation between his husky, Apollo, and his wife. The video, captioned "My wife and my husky, Apollo, arguing," has racked up 430,400 likes and 3 million views.
"No, you didn't wanna go outside. I asked you. You just looked at me like I was crazy," the frustrated mom says to Apollo in the video. The husky responds with an animated series of loud whines.
Apollo continues his impassioned pleas to go outside, but his mom stands her ground.
"Go ask your dad. Go ask him. No, I don't care. I don't wanna hear it," she asserts, as Apollo counters with more vocal protests.
Huskies are famously known for their expressive "talking" and dramatic whining, often referred to as "screaming."
According to pet experts at Rover, this behavior is rooted in their ancestry as sled dogs, where communication through howls and cries was vital in a pack setting.
Huskies use these sounds to express their emotions, whether it's excitement, frustration, or the need for attention.
While it may seem humorous, excessive whining can sometimes be a sign of underlying issues, such as anxiety or unmet needs.
The Spruce Pets advises that to curb whining, pet owners should identify the root cause, whether it's boredom, discomfort, or seeking attention.
Reinforcing calm behavior and providing mental stimulation can help reduce such vocalizations over time.
Social media users were captivated by the mother and son's spirited exchange, flooding the comments with their amused observations.
"Sooo—you got a husky so she can argue with the dog rather than target you," joked one user.
"He's got valid points," said Joseph Meola.
"He was like ..... 'Listen Linda Listen .......'" quipped another.
"Walks out 'I made my point,' walks back 'And another thing!'" said another viewer.
"It's like having a fluffy toddler," wrote Kayla.
"Who won the argument? I'm guessing the husky," asked Mark.
The dog dad chimed in with his response: "Yea!! He's got a way with words."
