Hilary Duff's 2005 Performance At George W. Bush's Presidential Inauguration Has Resurfaced And Is Going Mega Viral

Since the news broke, people have had strong opinions. It has also stirred up conversations about previous inaugurations...

Most notably possible would-have-been performances and previous ones.

People on TikTok have started sharing clips of musicians from prior years' performances, and one that people can't stop talking about is Hilary Duff's.

Hilary is the millennial icon who became famous for playing Lizzie in Disney's Lizzie McGuire, if you somehow aren't familiar with the '00s.

Anyway, 17-year-old Hilary performed "Come Clean" to kick off Bush's inauguration in 2005.

Hilary performed it at the "Youth Concert" in Washington, DC. The concert was one of the first events to initiate former president Bush being sworn into his second term at the time.

Besides people realizing it was quite an interesting choice...

They couldn't help but find the comedy in it.

And people went on to talk about how the inauguration musicians have been so fitting for each president.

For example, a lot of people think Biden having Lady Gaga just makes sense.

Gaga performed the National Anthem in 2021 when Biden was elected.

And when the Piano Guys sang at Trump's 2017 inauguration, people felt it was also fitting.

Overall, though, people are still just feeling gobsmacked about the musical delights of the 2005 Bush inauguration.

What a time. Thoughts on this one? Drop 'em in the comments!
