Hol’ Up! Jayda Cheaves Reacts After Social Media Pops Off About Her Church Outfit

18 hours ago 2

Jayda Cheaves treated her followers to a close-up look at her Sunday church service fit. But the moment quickly escalated into a social media debate about what’s appropriate to wear when serving the Lord! Cheaves didn’t let the critics slide, though, and clapped back with a few posts on SnapChat.

In screenshots shared by The Shade Room, Cheaves asked if the internet has to “complain and make everything a thing.” She then went off about people eyeing the wrong parts of her day.

“Like the fact y’all are totally discrediting the fact I got my tail up and WENT to church cuz y’all too focused on what I wore?!! is SICK,” Jayda wrote in respond to a commentator who asked which church she attended, “dress like that.”

Another critic wrote, “Bc you only went to church for the fit, not God, sis.” Cheaves clapped back with a selfie, rolling her eyes and said, “I throw fits every day I wake up stink… This comment don’t work on me.”

So, let’s get down to Jayda Cheaves’ outfit for this past Sunday. The Waydamin CEO popped in for service in a white turtleneck and pink and white checkered coat with Chanel emblems on it. She paired the top with a black miniskirt, her signature brand tights, and knee-high, shiny pleather boots.

X Popped Off About Jayda Cheaves’ Church Look

As mentioned, Jayda Cheaves’ response came after her outfit became the small talk of social media. As of Monday morning, folks are still weighing in on the look.

Appropriate or not? We’ll let y’all tell it. Keep scrolling to see which side X (RIP Twitter roommates are picking and why!

I think the term “come as you are” is more so rooted in your heart posture and relationship with God at the time. People feel they have to be a high level believer to be welcomed, I think it relating to clothing is super minimum so yea she OD it.

In the Bible, "come as you are" means that people can come to God with their problems and sins, without needing to clean up their lives first. pic.twitter.com/zngpJyZOnr

That skirt was tacky for church. You couldn’t wait til church was over to put that lil shit on? 😂

— Jelly Santos (@MrsJellySantos) January 13, 2025

TACKY. And I don’t wanna hear ‘come as you are’ as a cop out to dress like she going to the club or bar. Have some DECORUM. She can wear that anywhere ELSE.

They would've hated my mom. She always looked beautiful but none of her dresses pass her knees! Lmaoo she would throw on some stockings and a shawl and call it a day. Lol and they all would say she looked like she was fresh out of a catalog at church. They thought she was cute!😭

The outfit is very cute but personally growing up in a church I just wouldn’t wear a mini skirt & if I did the jacket would be longer than the skirt. Come as you are but it’s a respect type of thing to be in a religious place esp with all ages of ppl going.

Brunch yes, but i think the skirt is too short for church. I also don’t like the outfit but I digress 😩

I mean… the Bible does say come as you are. She’s covered so. The skirt is a little short but I mean .. so is she so, it balances out idk but yeah, just be happy she went to church

She looks fine… the long coat was very classy. Nothing wrong with her fit. Ppl hate on anything!🤷‍♀️😩

skirts this short wasn’t even allowed in school so why did she think it was acceptable to where a MINI skirt to Church ? 😂😂😂 ‘Come as you are’ is only meant Spiritually & Mentally and Not only God can judge but his judgement is the only one that counts cs I’m judging 🤣
