Rapper 2 Low sent his interview into chaos when a gun fired off in his pocket.
The 46-year-old Texas-born rapper was chatting to host Mike D on his podcast One on One with Mike D when things took an explosive turn. The musician seemed to accidentally shoot his firearm through his jeans in the now-viral footage seen on YouTube.
The pair were discussing the choices humans make in their lives when 2 Low slipped his hand into the front pocket of his jeans. As soon as he started fumbling around in his pants, a loud bang went off, shocking both 2 Low and the host.
2 Low jumped as a bright flash of orange blasted from his jeans. The rapper froze in shock and Mike D wondered if anyone had actually been shot.
He looked at the floor, presumably for any evidence of the bullet, and asked: "Who shot who?". 2 Low pulled out what appeared to be the gun out of his pocket before tucking it back inside.
Mike D, asked: "Somebody got shot? Y'all good?". 2 Low asked: "Everybody good?"
The footage quickly went viral online and many rushed to comment on the accident. One user said: "Why is the safety off ?!" while another posted: "His thigh not burning?"
One person asked whether the rapper was okay and another wondered whether it was a stunt. "This is why guns have a 'safety' function," another complained on social media.
One commented: "What was he grabbing it like that, then pants was so tight if it popped off he wouldn't have been able to pull it out."
2 Low took to his Instagram Stories with a clip of the incident. The video on the podcast's YouTube page has gained over 22,000 views while shorter clips have been shared on Instagram and X/Twitter.
2 Low was only 12 when he signed to Rap-A-Lot Records. He is perhaps best known for his verse on Geto Boys' hit song Bring It On in the early 90s.
