How Cher’s Family Reportedly Feels About Boyfriend AE Edwards’ ‘Red Flags’

Recently, Cher revealed that her 38-year-old boyfriend, Alexander “AE” Edwards, has “inspired” her to get back to the studio and make an album again for the first time in well over a decade. While fans are rejoicing over a new album coming out, insiders claim her family isn’t too thrilled about it, solely because of Edwards’ involvement in it all.

Insiders recently spoke with DailyMail, alleging that her family thinks Edwards is full of “red flags,” and apparently, Cher isn’t listening to their concerns.

“Cher’s family has given up on trying to convince her that Alexander does not have her best interests in mind,” an insider alleged to the outlet, claiming that his has displayed “one red flag after another.”

“She claimed that he was not after her money, but now he is literally getting paid an enormous amount of money for this new album, and she is giving him creative control of it,” they alleged, talking about her new studio album in the works.

Along with that, the insider alleged that she’s even considering putting him in her will, which her family is apparently not okay with at all.

“She has not yet done this but is strongly considering it because she claims he is the love of her life,” they alleged. “And, if her album is the last album she does it will undoubtedly be a massive success. When she passes, this gives AE all of the profits for it and he is set for life. Huge red flag.”

Now, we don’t know the intricacies of their relationship, but from what insiders claim, Cher’s family isn’t exactly super supportive of this romance.

For those who don’t know, the pair were first linked together in Nov 2022, and then Cher quickly confirmed they were together. In Dec 2022, engagement rumors came up and about. While neither confirmed the rumors, they were seen packing on the PDA with their rare red-carpet events appearances.

They briefly split up in 2023, but have gotten back together (and have been inseparable since).

Despite getting a lot of backlash over their age difference, share has said time and time again that it doesn’t matter when love is involved. Specifically, she acknowledged this previously in Dec 2022 on The Kelly Clarkson Show, saying, “On paper, it’s kind of ridiculous. But, in real life, we get along great. He’s fabulous and I don’t give men qualities that they don’t deserve.”
