Rayne Fernandez and Chidi Ikpeamaeze made their television debut in the premiere of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 7. Fans learned that the couple met online five years before they nabbed spots in the season 7 cast, and Rayne is the mother of two children.
Who Are 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ Rayne’s Kids?
In the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 7 premiere, Rayne revealed she’s the mother of a 16-year-old daughter named Lexi and an 8-year-old son named Devin. The New Mexico native lives on a farm with a variety of animals including chickens, ducks, horses and dogs.
“I love spending time with my kids,” Rayne explained. “Lexi, she loves riding the horse and she loves the chickens. And Devin? He’s my little pal. He’s a momma’s boy, definitely. He follows me everywhere. It’s just the three of us and we live a peaceful life out here.”
Rayne also discussed her former relationships, including those with Devin and Lexi’s fathers.
“I’ve never been married, and the kids’ fathers, the two relationships I had with them [were] very toxic. In my life, I’ve never experienced romance at all,” Rayne told the camera during a confessional.
90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ Rayne and Chidi’s Relationship Seems Rocky
The couple seemed to have quite a few hurdles to overcome in their relationship. In the season 7 premiere, Rayne discussed how different her and Chidi’s beliefs are when it comes to religion. While Chidi is a born-again Christian, who attends church on a regular basis, Rayne said that she believes in a higher power but doesn’t consider herself a Christian. Instead, she believes in “aliens and the Illuminati.”
“I believe that there’s definitely a god and a higher power, but I don’t consider myself a Christian,” Rayne told producers. “I’ve seen a lot of the truth that’s not mentioned in the Bible. There’s a whole other world and galaxy out there. For example, I know for a fact that aliens exist. UFOs, Illuminati, these are all things that humans need to understand if we have any hope for the future. Chidi, people like him keep on living the way they are believing that they’re with God when they really are not. But, I believe I can show Chidi the truth.”
Are 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ Rayne and Chidi Still Together?
Rayne and Chidi clashed online a few days before 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 7 premiered which didn’t bode well for the couple. In episode 2, fans saw Rayne and Chidi meet in person for the first time. This was also when Rayne claimed that she learned that Chidi wanted to abstain from sex until after they were married and that she would not be staying with him during her time in Nigeria. However, he denied that was true.
“The primary issue is the decision not to have sex or share a bed until we are married. While this is a decision I have made, I want to make clear that I informed Rayne about this before she came to Nigeria,” Chidi wrote in a screenshot captured by Starcasm on September 8, 2024. “Upon hearing this, she reacted with overwhelming anger, threatening to cancel her visit and later changing her mind.”
In the October 13, 2024, episode, Rayne and Chidi had a verbal altercation after Rayne accused Chidi’s sister of being intrusive in their relationship. She wasn’t willing to resolve the issue at the time, and she packed her things before leaving to stay at a hotel. Rayne was adamant that Chidi would “never see her again.”
The two do not currently follow one another on social media, hinting that Chidi and Rayne may have ended things for good.
